Wirral Local Involvement Network (LINk)

We hope you will find this information helpful. Wirral LINk is in the early stages of development as there is a lot of work to do, however, we have an enthusiastic and dedicated team based within our Community Engagement Team.

FURTHER INFORMATION WILL BE COMING SOON. We are in the process of developing an on-line Wirral LINk Membership registration shortly, where you can register to become a Wirral LINk Member.

What will Wirral LINk Do?

  • Give everyone a chance to say what they think about their local health and social care services – what is working well and what is not so good.
  • Give people the chance to check how care services are planned and run
  • Feedback what people have said about services so that things can change for the better.
  • Operate independently but in partnership with statutory organisations such as the National Health Service and Local Authority.

What powers will the WIRRAL LINk have?

  • Make reports and recommendations and request information, and get a reply within a set amount of time.
  • Where appropriate, enter, view and monitor certain services to see what they do.
  • Tell elected politicians on the Wirral Overview and Scrutiny Committee (OSC) what they have found and get a response.

Who can be apart of Wirral LINk?

  • Anyone can be a part of a Wirral LINk but there will be different levels of activity, involvement and membership.
  • The Wirral LINk will be representative of everyone in the community, this means all of the different groups, and types of people that make up the local population.
  • The Wirral LINk should also be able to give people who do not usually have a say to give their views.
  • WIrral LINks Members will and can include the following member types;
    • Individuals
    • Service User Led Groups
    • Local Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations
