VCAW Volunteers

sample-image The aim of VCA Wirral is to bring the CVS together the new organisation will be better placed to provide extra levels of support to the communities and organisations in Wirral’s third sector and to offer enhanced direct services to individuals in the Wirral community.

By eliminating duplication in the work that is already delivered by the CVS across Wirral more staff time and resources will be available to enhance existing services, to offer services Wirralwide and to deliver new services to continue to meet the needs of our local communities and the organisations that serve them so enthusiastically.

VCAW will still work closely with the local groups who rely on us for support and advice, as we would wish to retain the strengths that the CVS have.

All groups, large, small, single issue and geographical will be encouraged to participate in the Voluntary and Community Sectors’ Network, which is being revamped.

sample-image VCAW will also take a more strategic role and will be the conduit through which information; consultation and planning will flow, through to the voluntary and community sector and back to the public, statutory and private bodies.

It is hoped that this will lead to a clear understanding of Wirral’s strategies and that the strategies are informed by the voluntary and community sector.

VCAW has a lot of work to do. We have to restructure and plan for the future, but we are all looking forward to our new beginning. The team is enthusiastic and as we bring all our existing skills, knowledge and experience together, we are heading towards a bright, vibrant and hopefully sustainable future.
